How to Book

Please see Terms & Conditions before making an enquiry

- Check the  Availability Calendar:

Look through the dates available, keep in mind that availability can change quickly, especially during busy periods.


- Choose Your Dates:

Select the dates you'd prefer for your stay. Have a few alternative dates, in case your first choice is unavailable by the time your enquiry is processed.


- Complete the Enquiry Form:

Fill out all required fields, making sure to double-check your personal details.


- Use Your Personal Email:

When entering your email address, use your personal email not work, our replies can be blocked by the force system. This is also important for ensuring continuity in the system when you retire.


- Verify Membership:

Your membership details will be checked against our database, so ensure all your information is current.  Call branch reception on 0151 259 2535 to check your details are correct.


- Submit the Enquiry Form:

After selecting your dates and filling out all the required information, submit the form.


- Confirmation and Account Setup:

Wait for a confirmation email regarding your booking.

Along with confirmation, you will receive login details via email.

Use the login details to access your booking, where you will find all the details for your stay.

Booking Terms & Conditions

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.   BOOKING & PAYMENT

Bookings can be made for 3 (Friday to Monday), 4 (Monday to Friday) or 7 (Monday to Monday) nights. A 20% deposit will secure your booking and must be paid within 7 days of confirmation of your booking. Seven days before travel a £500 security deposit hold will be secured on a credit or debit card to be released once satisfactory checkout has been confirmed by federation representatives and no damage has been noted. The balance of your holiday is payable 4 weeks prior to the booking or immediately if you travel within 4 weeks.

All payments can be made by following the instruction on the automated emails you will receive.

2.   CONFIRMING YOUR BOOKING

Confirmation of your booking will be sent along with login details (2 separate emails). You will be able to login to check your booking dates and details, any amendments must be reported within 7 days of receipt. Your booking is made as a consumer and you agree the Trustee’s will not accept liability for expenses, costs, losses, claims or other sums that relate to any business however so suffered or incurred by you. You must be over 18 years of age at the time of making your booking. As soon as you receive the written holiday confirmation email, you must check it carefully. Any errors must be reported to us immediately on merpol.bookings@polfed.org

3. IF YOU CHANGE/CANCEL YOUR HOLIDAY

If you cancel up to 4 weeks before travel and once full payment is made a full refund of any payments will be returned. To cancel, please email merpol.bookings@polfed.org with all the details, name, collar number, if you are a serving, retired or staff member, dates for stay, which accommodation, bank details for the refund etc. if you cancel within the 4 week period before travel and we are able to rebook the period a full refund will also be made. Cancelation within 7 days of travel no refund will be made, you can appeal this directly to the Trustees if you feel there are extenuating circumstances.

4. BREAKAGES

We accept that breakages will occur, and accidents will happen. We ask you to notify us of any breakages that occur so as we can replace for the benefit of other guests. We do reserve the right to charge you for any breakages or damage we consider unreasonable, which will be deducted from the security deposit. Damage caused due to velux windows being left open resulting in water damage will be included in charge backs.

5. OCCUPANCY

Your holiday group must not exceed the maximum number of people the accommodation will sleep (six). If it does the Trustee’s can refuse to allow you to take possession of the accommodation or make you leave before the end of the holiday. If this happens, we will treat your holiday as cancelled by you and you will not be entitled to a refund of any payments. Please note, the accommodation is three bedrooms, the sleeping arrangements are 2 x double beds, and 2 x single beds. A travel cot can be in addition to the six people (this is only provided in the cottages - and only suitable for a child under the age of 1 year old). Please note, no stair gates are in the properties so care should be taken with small children.

6. NO SMOKING

Smoking is strictly forbidden at our holiday lets, this includes vaping.

7. PETS

Pets are not accepted at our holiday lets. If you book and bring a pet and are asked to leave no compensation/refund will be offered.

8. TOWELS

Bathroom Towels are NOT provided and you will be required to bring your own. However, we DO provide Tea Towels and limited amounts of toilet roll/Kitchen Roll, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets upon arrival and further requirements are at your own expense.

9. KEY COLLECTION

Your accommodation is available from 3.00pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00am on day of departure, unless otherwise stated on your holiday confirmation. Keys must be returned to the collection point. You will be notified of these arrangements once final payment is made.

10. CARE OF HOLIDAY ACCOMODATION

Our holiday lets are lovingly cared for and we ask that you treat them with respect and leave them clean and tidy. Please report any damages/breakages on or before departure using the contact section on the Anytime platform in order for us to fix/replace these prior to the next guests coming in. Damage/breakages caused through neglect may be charged for. Please strip bedding from any beds used and leave it on the used beds.

11. LIABILITY

The Trustee’s shall have no liability for any death or personal injury unless, it results from the federation negligence or that of any employee of the federation (providing they were at the time acting in the course of their employment). You must take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal possessions.  No liability is accepted by the federation in respect of damage to, or loss of, such personal possessions except, in the case of the federation, where the damage or loss is caused by the negligence of the federation or that of any employee of the federation (providing they were at the time acting in the course of their employment).
